Billy's Bio:

Billy Catfish writes, "I'd like to consider myself an entertainer - one that happens to write some damn good songs, too.

Artist Information

Plenty of times I've done the laid-back country-folk /
singer-songwriter thing, but even I get bored watching folks strumming out sad songs for too long. I like to shake up convention, and surprise folks who think they know what to expect from a fellow walking on-stage with his acoustic in hand."

Billy Catfish

"By the time I've made a slide out of the mic stand, suspended my
guitar from the rafters, or belted out some kinda self-penned outlaw country a capella (well, not counting the foot stomping) I've usually turned a few heads."

Billy Catfish

"Last year, I self-booked about 75 shows - taking me throughout Ohio, up to Detroit and Chicago, down into Nashville and Memphis, and it seems like nearly every point in-between. I slept on the floor of a bar-b-que joint and shook hands with a lot of new friends along the way.

I'm inspired at the same time by Hasil Adkins, John Coltrane and the Byrds. I keep busy with about four different bands at any given time, in addition to solo recording projects and maintaining a steady schedule of solo performances.

I'm also seeking a home for my latest collection of studio and home recordings."

Discography
"I've performed and recorded since 1994 with rock, punk, garage and avant-garde groups; while also producing a mountain of home recordings along the way.

There have been seven-inches, CD releases and limited-run demos hand-made on a whim; recent recordings can be listened to and downloaded from myspace.com/billycatfish."
